We specialise in new roofs and major repairs.
Re roofs
| We first strip off old slates or tiles, and will remove lath and existing felt if required. New felt and lath is then fitted before applying new slates or tiles, and completing appropriate lead work. |
Flat Roofs
| Existing flat roofs will be stripped down to the boards. An assessment will be made regarding the condition of boards, and these can be replaced if required. Finally we re-felt the flat roof with a torch on long life felt. If desired we will take off a flat roof and change it to a pitched roof. |
Chimneys
| Foster & Son Roofing provide a wide range of services in this area, including taking down existing chimneys. More commonly we provide a re-pointing and rebuilding service, and also fit chimney accessories such as cowls and caps. |
Roof lights& Dormers
| Over the past 15 years we have become accomplished at fitting and replacing roof lights. We will also refurbish existing dormer windows, and in many instances have built these from scratch. |
UPVC
| On many older properties we have replaced wooden fascia with UPVC fascia and soffit material. This looks stunning and is low maintenance because it doesn't require repainting every other year. We can also provide UPVC guttering too, for the ultimate finish. |
Canopies
| We build canopies over garages, doors and also windows. Canopies are an effective way of setting off a doorway and providing protection to the door and visitor alike. |
Other Services
| We also offer a complete repair program from slipped slates to replacing missing slates and re-bedding or ridge and hip tiles. |
